The Department of Wildlife just sent out their weekly fishing report. It doesn't sound too promising for either of those lakes:
Bell Cow: July 13. Elevation below normal, water 83. Crappie slow on jigs around brush structure. Channel catfish slow on chicken liver along shorelines. Largemouth bass slow on spinnerbaits in weed beds. Report submitted by Gary Emmons, game warden stationed in Lincoln County.
Sooner: July 14. Elevation normal. Saugeye slow on crankbaits in the main lake. Striped bass hybrids and white bass slow on live shad and slabs in the main lake. Blue and channel catfish slow on cut bait around points. Report submitted by Doug Gottschalk, game warden stationed in Noble County.
