SpaceX has another crash

[Truckdriver]

SpaceX rocket takes off, flies up 12k ft. Rocket engines quit. Vehicle falls towards ground. Rocket engines restart, flip vehicle to vertical. Vehicle lands with a lean and small fire. Landing gear has failed.


Vehicle sits for 6 minutes, then explodes!

Thank goodness this didn’t happen to the rocket that was carrying the astronauts. That would have been terrible. But man that sure was neat to watch. I’ve always loved astronomy. I know they will get these problems ironed out. It really blows my mind that we landed on the moon in the 60’s! So amazing what we have achieved.

SpaceX is like the Wright Brothers. They are testing essentially disposable spacecraft to perfect things that have never been tried before. This is the coolest thing since the heady days of 1950s aviation when they built prototypes to see what they can do. The whole mindset is different from NASA. It’s very exciting. They will have dozens of flights over the next few years.
