Where the roll pin holds the trigger guard. I just use the edge of my bench. It helps to put a little gun oil on the roll pin and the holes in the lower.

This.

I used a small phillips screwdriver as my punch, the tip kept the driver from sliding off the roll pin head.

I'm not too cheap to buy the tools, I'm just too impatient.

My deal is that I bought 2 AR toolkits. In both, the tips broke off both punches. They only thing usable out of it was the roll pin starters. (the ones with the recession in the tip to get the rollpin started without flaring the tip.)

Ill admit, it was like a $20 set, but it ticked me off enough I just went out and bought a stainless steel nail set.
