Want to take my 8yo out to shoot some squirrel tomorrow and need a good spot. Any ideas?
Choteau, behind the powerplant. Nice chunk of Corp land open for hunting. Lots of land that isn't public there too, so try to find a map. Lots of Public land outside of Wagoner on the Lake too. Hunted there last year and saw tons of squirrels.
Thanks for the tip on the Corp land I will try to find a map. I might just check out Ft.Gibson tomorrow and do some duck blind scouting while i'm there.
Well we went out yesterday and didn't see a single squirrel at Ft.Gibson.

Don't give up on n area just because you didn't see any. Squirrels will be thick one day, and gone the next. Sometimes I think they work hard and then decide to take a day off and just sleep in.
I've killed a lot of squirrels on the Deep Fork WMA. Try to get close to the river and look for pecan trees. Early fall is usually best I've found.
Surely Broken Arrow has a public park...
