Looks like another opportunity for fraud and posers to me. We are going to trust tag agency workers to verify the veracity of supplied veterans documentation?

It's easy to create a phony DD214...but now we have given folks a method to 'launder' a fake 214 and convert it into a valid state issued ID that can be used to 'prove' veteran status.

Unnecessary IMHO....(but my view is slanted...I have a retired ID)

I'm just curious (as a non .mil guy) what benefit this has? The only thing I see noted is for it to ease veterans with receiving discounts at places which offer them. Is that it? Or is there something I overlooked?

Thanks for the information. My wife used to work with Rita Aragon at OU. This is something I think a lot of Vets in OK will be doing. Another benefit to this I can see is the possibility of getting out of those pesky minor infraction tickets

Wish I could get this for my 6 years in the OKARNG. Though activated shortly after 9/11, we were told to "stand down" after about 45 days prepping to go overseas. Still irks me...
