2000 feet per minute? You can drive faster than that in a school zone. 2000 FPM is only 22.7 MPH.
2000 FPM is only 33.33 FPS. The bullet would hit the ground about 18 feet from the muzzle. It wouldn't hit you with enough energy to pop a pimple.

I wish more people had been armed. It's the only solution I can see saving lives. My takeaway personally is to be more diligent about always carrying when possible. I occasionally get lazy about carrying, and these are sickening reminders to not do that.
The Senate had "gun safety" hearings today that were already scheduled prior to the shooting.

“Gun control” is a liberal wet dream that has never worked anywhere in the world. The reason why gun control has never worked is because a redundant law does not remedy the root cause(s) to gun violence. Never has ... never will.
Instead of more of the same failed theater, politicians need to drill down to the solving the issues that drive violent crime.
But they won’t do that.
Because to do that, they would have to admit that decades of poor socio-economic policies combined with some really ****** parenting skills has caused much of the gun crime ... and the majority of that is in the inner cities.
