You do realize that it is some low level clerks doing the checks, not the Director’s office. Nothing more than more work than the current staff can handle in a timely manner.

But it is a lot more fun to throw rocks…..

It'd be interesting to know how many of the 35,000 FBI employees are low level clerks...

You’d also think with the increased popularity of Silencers and SBRs and the $200.00 tax per item, that they could use that money for more employees.

Nothing about this is shocking to me and shouldn’t be a shock to anyone in my opinion. This is how bureaucracy functions.

You’d also think with the increased popularity of Silencers and SBRs and the $200.00 tax per item, that they could use that money for more employees.

That money doesn’t get deposited into the ATF accounts. Like any govt agency they have to write up a proposed budget and ask Uncle Sugar for money.
