It's possible that Dennis was actually in Viet Nam when I was sitting in the Scott Theater in Odessa watching that movie.

I saw it before going over there. Things were a bit different than the movie.

I don't doubt that at all.
That movie was about what we were trying to do with what we had. I'm just a couple years short of being a Viet Nam veteran. I would have gone over there in a heart beat. I wouldn't have known what I was getting into. Thanks, Dennis. No kidding

The entire movie was filmed at Ft. Benning. Anyone who's gone to jump school should recognize the airfield.

the opening scene is on a shotgun range that i frequently visit.

Ft Benning, Harmony Church, Jump Towers, The Landscape. I recognized alot of scenery in that movie. Good flick too.

The movie motivated a friend of mine to join up. He said the same thing as Dennis. Wasn't like the movie.
