Strangely enough, I just got sent this.

Rules for Driving in Tulsa.
  1. If your Tulsa map is more than a few weeks old, throw it out and buy a new one..
  2. If you're in Broken Arrow where one street has three names, such as Lynn Lane aka, 177th E. Ave, and 9th St, and your map is one day old, it is already obsolete.
  3. Forget the traffic rules you learned elsewhere. Tulsa has its own version of traffic rules.
  4. All directions start with 'Get on Memorial' which has no beginning and no end. Everything in Tulsa is 'just off Memorial.'
  5. The morning rush hour is from 6 to 10. The evening rush hour is from 3 to 7. Friday's rush hour starts Thursday morning.
  6. If you actually stop at a yellow light, you will be rear ended, and possibly shot. When you are the first one on the starting line, count to five when the light turns green before going to avoid crashing with all the drivers running the red light in cross-traffic.
  7. Construction on I-44 is a way of life and a permanent form of entertainment.
  8. All unexpected or strange sights are explained by the phrase, 'Oh, we're in Jenks.'
  9. If someone actually has a turn signal on, it is probably a factory defect.
  10. All old ladies with blue hair in Mercedes have the right of way. PERIOD.
  11. I-44 is called the Skelly Bypass. No one has ever figured out what it bypasses... State Highway 51 is either the Broken Arrow Expressway or the Keystone Expressway, depending on which way you're headed. US64 comes up Memorial from Bixby, joins 169 for a few miles, and then heads west with SH 51 towards Sand Springs. Several highways like the Creek Turnpike have no number. We don't understand it either.
  12. Maps of Tulsa show an Interstate 444 in downtown Tulsa . If you find it, let us know. The alleged I-444 is half of the inner-dispersal loop, which is not for the faint of heart.
  13. Highway 169 in rush hour is the Tulsa equivalent of NASCAR. Just shut up and drive like the rest of us.
  14. The minimum acceptable speed on the Broken Arrow Expressway is 85. Anything less is considered downright sissy.
  15. If it's 100 degrees, Thanksgiving must be next weekend. If it's 10 degrees and snowing, it's homecoming at TU. If it's rained 6 inches in the last hour, and it is spring, it's opening day for the Drillers. If it is fall, the Tulsa State Fair is going on.
  16. All amusement parks, stadiums, arenas, race tracks, airports, etc., are conveniently located as far away from EVERYTHING as possible so as to allow for ample parking on grassy areas.
With these simple rules in mind, you are now ready to drive in Tulsa. Please try and keep up.

And I was at a stop light patiently waiting for the light to change and when it did a female to my right whipped out and crossed in front of me, ran a red light and turned left crossing the left turn lane where she should have been if she was turning left. And a cop car was directly behind her...he turned his lights on.
In OKC, that's a rarity.

Memorial is kind of like Tulsa's version of Grand Blvd. in OKC, except Grand literally has neither beginning nor end, and I'm pretty sure there's an intersection of Grand and Grand. Be careful if you find it, because you may run into yourself there.

Ok, Here's a question. Do you have to take a drivers license test and have a license anymore?
I have noticed car lots now will sell you a car with valid Okla. ID and Insurance places say insurance for those with valid state ID.
What gives?

Not certain, but I would imagine it's a matter of nomenclature. By valid ID, they are probably talking about REAL ID? You can probably buy a car and insurance without a drivers license, but REAL ID does not license you to drive. You still need a valid drivers license. I think a drivers license CAN be, but is not necessarily a REAL ID.

Take all of that with a grain of salt, hopefully someone smarter than me will be along soon.

Note the section at the bottom of the page:

You don't necessarily need to be able to drive to buy a car. F'rinstance, I'm pretty sure Ronnie Milsap has owned a few tour buses over the years he's been singing, but I doubt he has ever driven one of them down the highway to his next gig. (I mean, other than in a video or as a joke.)

Freeking Tulsa has addresses like 11214 west 127th street south. Dahell?

Tulsa also has 4 lanes going into 2 lanes then a 3 lane into a 2 lane into a 4 lane.

I've seen the most amazing drivers in Tulsa. Lane diving from the left lane on 44 westbound to their exit on the right. One time I was on 44 passing a truck at 70 mph. I was broadside of the truck when a motorcycle squeezed between me and the truck, got in front of me, slowed me down so five more motors could pass me and the truck. I was gonna say something to the rider in front on the bike but she scared me.
