I've actually seen these cars dozens of times and always wondered why they are sitting in the Guthrie yard. I did some research and the blue ones are from an old scenic RR in Kansas the Dodge City Ford and Bucklin RR. I'm not sure about the Orange one cant much much on PIEX but it wasn't last owned by a RR. The cars came to Guthrie in 2009 to be part of a scenic RR but the troubles with the state and funding nixed that plan. The cars were for sale but are all but abandoned now.

I also found out there are private railcar owners who ride around in their cars after restoring them. Apparently it costs $5000 a day for the whole train and usually at least 10 people form a train to split costs. These cars probably wouldn't be hard to restore since they were able to move as recently as 2009.

Also no one should be in a rail yard. For the love of god stay off the two farthest west tracks they are live main and siding track.

You should take some more pics of the train at night, put them in a slide show with some spooky music and youtube it with the title "FEMA Train Discovered!"

On the other hand I'd like to see some daytime pics. Not something one sees very often.

Would be alot better if they were restored, with an old steamer to pull em' around. I got to see one of those big Union Pacific steamers come through a few months ago. Coolest thing ever, would love to get a ride on one.

Shame that all those old pieces of American history just get to sit there and rot.
