My wife and I married in '90. I was 19 and she was 18. So, we've been married for 34+ years now. No kids and we joke that it the reason we still like each other. LOL I wouldn't want it any other way.
My wife and I are the same way, except that it's not really a joke for us. I'm fairly sure that we wouldn't have lasted as long as we have if we had kids.

I got her knocked up less than a year after we'd been dating, so kids were the focus for us for at least the first ten years of marriage. We worked odd shifts, so we both were fulltime parents and workers, but we didn't see much of each other. When we both ended up on day shift I was afraid we'd kill each other. (we are both a bit aggressive, controlling, independent types) Turns out we actually like each other. Pretty wild I know, but after 33 years together she's still my best friend and no one I'd rather drive all over the country with.

We decided to have our kids early and had the first two when we were 22 and 24 (both boys), but my wife decided at 35 that she wanted to try for a girl. I told her it was a horrible idea, because the boys were 10 and 12 at the time and pretty self sufficient.
We now have a 32 year old son, a 30 year old son, and a 19 year old daughter, so you can see who got what she wanted.
When our daughter was about 15, my wife surprisingly admitted that I might’ve been right that having a third kid was a bad idea.🤣

Well I’m glad to see so many marriage success stories here on OSA! Also, dang a bunch of y’all are old… hehe

Wife and I met at 15 and 17 (I’m the older) Got married at 18 and 20. I stole her away from her controlling extremely religious parents. 15 years and 3 kids later still happy to be together (most days lol)

Married for just over 15 years now, not all of them were easy but we both never forgot we made a vow, an oath, to remain together in good times and bad. Our marriage is better and stronger than ever thanks to the work we put in and I truly believe I'm with my soulmate.

Unpopular opinion but that vow is something many people seem to take very lightly these days and then go on to talk about how they are a sheepdog sworn to protect the flock when they've demonstrated their sworn oaths are easily broken.

Married my high school sweetheart, married 18 years and lost her to cancer. Remarried second time for 22 years now. happily married for 40 years now.
I am one of the few that have had 2 very good marriages. would still be married to wife 1 I am sure if she hadn't passed very young.
