Designed specifically for peacekeepers in one of the harshest environments in the world, The Alaskan Bush! That’s right ladies and gentlemen, this subcompact little monster hits harder than your 45ACP, and its 15rd capacity means you can toss one of the 3 SPARE MAGS in your pack! Perfect for Grizzly/Black Bear defense when camping and backpacking or as a backup sidearm for hunting dangerous game; and with companies like Buffalo Bore putting down an astounding 703 ft-lbs of muzzle energy on a 220gr projectile (vs 356-420 ft-lbs in the average 230gr 45ACP round) it’s no wonder so many are adding this power house of a cartridge to their arsenals! But all that power is meaningless if you can’t quickly find your target in varying lighting conditions or keep that nose down for a precise follow-up shot, which is why the BUSH includes the absolute best day/night sights(Trijicon HDs) on the market and a nice home for your pinky on 3 of 4 mags. Unfortunately, Glock Inc. has restricted the sale of its pistols fitted with a Marine Spring Cup(which enables the gun to continue functioning when water, oil, or debris enters the firing pin channel) to Military and Law Enforcement only; so it’s fitting that this increased functionality comes standard in the G29 BUSH. The OEM trigger has been fine-tuned to deliver a substantial improvement over factory with an audible reset, a reshaped trigger safety for added comfort in training sessions and increased accuracy, (via ease of straight, reward press) and a slightly reduced pull weight of 4-4.5lbs due in part to the midweight connector w/ debris channel. The front slide serrations on the G29 BUSH just may be the most aggressive in the industry, providing the operator with a no-slip grip even while wearing wet and snow-battered thermal gloves. The “Last Stand” serration (where the sunken serration pattern meets the elevated slide) exacerbates this functionality, and is purposefully complimented by the extended slide lock and slide release controls. Achieving maximum reliability often requires innovation, and the G29 BUSH is no exception. The internal frame plug modification (unique to APH Tactical’s Fighting Glocks) enables water to drain freely from the trigger housing while preventing debris from entering the underside of the housing, inducing a failure to fire.
