I am enjoying this season a lot.
Greg Nicotero, the director of last night's episode, was on The Talking Dead last night. When the annoying host asked Greg N. about the fat zombie that Rick shot, Nicotero said it ate Lori - he said if you look close at that zombie's mouth, there are strands of black hair (Lori's) on it. I'm betting even though they killed her off Lori hangs around in some fashion - e.g.; she's the one calling Rick on the phone; or she's a ghost that stays with the group and her baby.
I think you are right. IMDB still lists the actress that plays Lori on the cast list for the rest of this season....but IronE, the guy that played T-Dog, dropped off the list. I'm betting we'll see her in flashbacks and/or 'vision' scenes.
....and I now hate Andrea more than I hated Lori. She officially annoys the crap out of me. Not digging Michonne either....
I'm thinking that Carol is still alive (since we still havent seen her body), and that she has drug Lori off somewhere in the prison and sewn her back up. I think its probable since she had some medical training and that the bullet that Rick picks up is not bloody, it was just stuck in the concrete. Also, we didn't actually see Carl do the deed.
I was glad Lori was dead, too... but I don't think she is. Neither is Carol.

The director of that episode, and the FX guy, Greg Nicotero confirmed that the bloated belly zombie Rick shot through the mouth had eaten Lori....hence the hair hanging out of it's mouth and it's bloated stomach that Rick went Manson on with the knife. Lori is dead and eated....
Carol is still alive.
