This was a great episode, and it is just like the directors to make you root for an anti-hero. If he hadn't been all sauced up, Merle would have probably been more effective. I think he left the series appropriately, and with some level of honor. It was nice to see that he wasn't a terrible man, just somewhat twisted and turned by this new world.

So the Governor officially sealed his fate. Darryl will end him violently!

Not sure about that. Can't see how anyone will know that the Gov delivered the fatal shot unless the Gov tells 'em.

My thoughts: Did the Governor shoot Meryl in the chest not knowing that he would convert? or did he do it with the full knowledge that he would convert?

If he did it, NOT knowing that Meryl would convert, does that mean that the folks at Woodbury don't really know that everyone is infected?

If he did it knowing Meryl would convert, did you break the unwritten "rule" about the living don't let the living become the Walkers? And, in that action, really cross the line?

Meryl took out 8 of the Govs top soldiers. So now he has some 14 year old asthmatic kids and a 70 year old arthritic Japanese woman staffing his "army"?

I'm guessing that Rick's group has "dee-deed" the prison. Maybe left a few surprises behind (like a room full of walkers and molitovs).

The 14 year old asthmatic kid got shot. The Governor knew they would turn. You understand that from the first episode the Governor is in. Are we all watching the same show?

And the Asthmatic kid's death has to cause some tension back at Woodbury. If you remember, the parents didn't want him to join the ranks. Nor did Andrea, who is locked up to be tortured.

As for discrepancies, when Rick pulls his scope up to "zoom in" and see michonne at the fence, he's got an unmagnified red dot, but the image is magnified and has a reticle. I don't really fault them for things like that, I just let them go and enjoy the show.

Being as how Merle died at the meeting place that was chosen by The Governor and there were dead henchmen laying around, it's really not that hard to figure out.

It's obvious the Governor's group killed Merle. I meant Darryl wouldn't know it was the Governor himself.

Can't see how anyone will know that the Gov delivered the fatal shot unless the Gov tells 'em.

This.
