The Walking Dead....

The books are vastly different (I'm in chapter 9 or so now, I think), but I can see the roots of the show in the book, but just barely. I like that fact, honestly.





I thought about that, but in reality, they can cruise right through the fences. The preview show them popping the guard tower with an RPG, so they're not going in with just sharp sticks, you know?

After Merle's attack, The Guv is gonna go off half cocked and guns a-blazing with a full on frontal assault. Meanwhile, Michonne is already back at the prison and let everyone know that Merle let her go and was heading out for some payback. Dayrl will make it back before the Guv starts his assault to let them know whats up. Rick and Co. will be ready. I bet they send part of the group out of the prison, wait for the assault and flank them, and take them down in a crossfire.

They are better off making them funnel into the prison. The preview on talking dead showed a large group with the gov. Maybe 30ish. They have all they keys to the prison, they can control where people go in the prison. Funnel them into a choke point, take a few out, move to the next point. That won't happen in the show but that's the best plan I can come up with off hand.

I wasnt to thrilled by seaso 2, it was slow with not really to much going on. I got hooked on it because of season 1, i have yet to watch any of season 3 im no fan of commercials so i usually wait till it comes out on dvd.

Amazon season pass subscription. I don't think I even have to wait for the next day. Stream it and enjoy it.

Tyreese gets back to the prison before the attack to fight on Ricks side. Michonne and Darryl have made it back there as well.
When the Guv and his crew open the doors to go into the prison, it's loaded with walkers, Rick's gang is somewhere else, setting up some type of trap or some way to take out the Guv's crew little by little.

The comics are crazy different, still reading.

one thing i find hokey. if the 'bite' infects you, then that implies body fluid or salivia, then how in the world are they not all infected being that many times when they smash a head that blood, fluids, etc. would splatter everywhere including in their eyes and mouths.

As Mike noted, the premise is that everyone is infected already and after death, anyone will reanimate so as long as their brain (and central nervous system, I suppose) is intact.

With walkers, their mouths carry a huge amount of bacteria (again, not far off from the truth regarding humans, plus all of the raw 'meat' they eat) and when they bite, it causes an infection which can kill, leading to the reanimation. This is why Rick was able to hack off Hershel's leg and save him, the infection hadn't spread yet.

I suppose in theory, the spraying fluids could also cause an infection, but it would be pretty slim, most of the human body is pretty decent at protecting itself.

This is pretty much what I'm hoping will happen. Rick is smart enough to set up a good ambush & they have enough people & weapons to fight off the Governor if positioned properly. I'm also wondering if Morgan either shows up to fight or Rick's group falls back to Morgans position. As far as Tyrese goes, I'm hoping he either turns on the Governor during the fight & takes out some of their guys or gets to the prison before the fight to help them. He definitely is not on board with attacking knowing there are children inside. And I think after his last interaction with the Governor & his henchmen he knows Andrea was telling the truth. Especially after the Governor asked him where he got the gas.

I can't wait to see how it ends but sucks we will have to wait 6 months for season 4. Right now me & the wife are rewatching season 1-2 on DVD to catch any small stuff we missed & even though I thought I caught all the important stuff, rewatching it I have picked up on even more subtle things that lead into where the story is at now.
