The wieght of bullet for practice and carrying

Ya I see no reason to practice with $25 per box of 20 when I can practice with $20 per box of 100...
Function testing my carry rounds, you damn right but that's about it.
That being said, I've carried cheep FMJs as few times cause thats all I had on hand. But typically only til I had time to swing buy and pick up some more hollow points.

Is there really "legal" issues with carrying handloads???

What are your guys thoughts on practicing the same size weight bullet that you uses when you conceal carry or soon to be open carry? I carry a 9mm with 147gr hollowpoints. Should practice with the same size ball ammo?

It would be ideal for you to use the Federal AE9FP,147gr FMJ flat point bullet. It's a practice round still cheap enough to shoot but mimicks the load and bullet dimensions of your carry round.

There're 145-ish grain cast bullets for reloading in 9x19. Shouldn't be difficult to concoct a workable practice load.
