WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) — Bank of America Corp. on Tuesday settled with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Internal Revenue Service, the Federal Reserve, 20 state attorneys-general and other regulators over charges of rigging bids for investments in municipal securities, agreeing to pay $137 million to authorities.

Now they just need to do something to all those that took the bribes. Also interesting from the piece,

Bank of America “self-reported” its employees’ misconduct, according to the Justice Department.

In a statement, Bank of America noted that even though a number of financial institutions are under investigation, it was the only bank to self-report. The institution also noted that the Justice Department cited Bank of America as being particularly helpful in its investigation.

The government just needs to let the companies collapse. It will harm the working man and the economy in the short run (5-15 years) but will allow us to re-establish a stronger version in the long run.

Everything in nature gives us a model to follow, and survival of the fittest is one. If a company has to be corrupt to function, they deserve to collapse.
