"But-but-but...I open carry so that people will get used to the sight of seeing weapons, and to be able to take time to talk to and educate people who ask questions about my firearm!"

(That was sarcasm.)

I don't open carry very often but do occasionally. There is nothing wrong with someone doing it. But for someone to try and act like it is so bad is just pathetic. I don't care if people like it or not. It is my right to do it. And should someone want to talk to me about it fine. But if not, ok then to. I am sure there are some people that OC just to try and be a spectacle but I am not one of them. I do it because it is comfortable to do. I mostly carry IWB but it is not very comfortable for me. I don't understand why so many people on this forum are against it. But if you are that is your opinion. But I will admit, some of these clowns out there just make every gun owner look like a moron. I really don't care one way or another anyhow. I don't go to starbucks and never will. If I want coffee I will make some folgers in my coffee maker. Not go pay an outrageous price for a name.

I don't have an issue with the OC of handguns and I don't think Starbucks did either. I think it was the guys bringing AR15's and AK's in that did it. I have both but would still be alarmed by them if I saw them displayed in a restaurant. And believe me, I've been desensitised

My thought on OC are pretty much the same as yours, although I don't ever OC.

The guys with the weapons in the photos made us look like morons.

I get free coffee at Starbucks so I go there, but I always carry concealed.

As a result, gun owners are not getting negative attention as a result of the way I carry to protect myself.

I'm an NRA instructor, work wth countless shooting events, etc., and that's where I teach men, women, and children about firearms, not at Starbucks.

I am never near a Starbucks and as such never knew the open carry demonstrations that took place there. Thank you for showing me this side of the argument.

Hark, voices of reason... don't tell the rest of OSA you're here!

I get called stupid, anti gun, anti carry and a host of other things when I try tell people you reap what you sow... I'm used to not being listened too. Since Starbucks has respectfully asked I will respectfully concede to their wishes.

I dont go to starbucks. I have more important things I can spend my money on than overpriced coffee. The closest I come to starbucks is when i'm going into target looking for hotwheels cars for my collection. And I havent done that in forever. And I do not agree with somebody bringing an AR-15 into starbucks with a mag inserted or a 12 gauge shotgun. That ruins it for everbody and makes us look stupid.
