Thunderbird ?

We got our daughter a Cricket rifle for her birthday this week. She can't wait to go shoot it! I want to take her to Thunderbird or another outdoor range.
With that being said can someone tell me the name of another outdoor range? I did a search and found Heartland but can't find much info on them, location, phone # etc.
Also, is Thunderbird still open? If so, does anyone know what his hours are? Or is it best to call and find out?

He's open on Saturdays unless he's got some concealed carry class or something else going on. Not open on Sundays. I think he's also open on Wednesdays after he gets off work after 3 pm or so.

You can shoot out at the Lexington WMA if you have a hunting or fishing license. Go as early as possible to stay away from the crowd. If not I beleive you can shoot 22's at the new gun range in Norman or at Sgt. Everetts near Andy Aligators

Go buy a little .22 rimfire swinging target if you don't have one. You probably already have one, but Thunderbird doesn't have much in the way of targets for kids. Here's a site that has a lot of great cheap ideas for targets. We've used a ton of them with our daughter.
