The way the system works these days, if they did show up and copy the records, the dealer would probably be prohibited by law from telling anyone.

They have come to get a record one time since I have been in business and it was for a transaction that was a delay.
we waited the 3 days and gave him his gun but then a week later we were called with a deny.
they came and got his records then went and confiscated his gun.
he had lied on his form about being a felon!
Other than that they never looked at any forms.

No one has come to copy my records, and I have not yet had an audit of my books, I do expect that before too long. Ive only had my license for a couple of years.
What is their user name? I want to check that out.

4473's are to be kept 20 years or handed over if you close your biz down. In Texas there is a list if people purchase more than one firearm at the same place in a 5 day period. It was intended to cover semi auto rifles. Lots of other gun types have ended up on these lists. Either by mistake or out of fear.
It's a voluntary project at this point. I send all mine in just to stay on their good side.
