I liked to have blew milk out my nose when I read the Reacher was being played by that little twerp. As a guy that IS 6'5" I take offense to the little midget getting the role!
Yeah, he doesn't fit the physical attributes of Reacher in any way, but the movie was really great. One of the best I've seen in a while.
No clue who Jack Reacher is. Saw the movie and thought Cruise did a good job.
This is a movie I'll never see. BUT seriously, Allan Ladd was five four. Even in his day, the movies had photographic techniques to make actors appear to be larger. Appear. Movies are about appearances and they're all about make believe.

Try it. You might like it. Since I don't engage in celebrity worship I generally don't know who these people are nor do I care. I think the last movie I saw with the Cruise kid was either Top Gun or Ferris Buellers Day Off.

I haven't seen the movie (and won't, I don't want to contribute to the nuts cash reserves), but just from the trailer:
Obvious size disparity, as has been noted.
Reacher is mostly taciturn, Cruise can't shut his trap.
Reacher rarely drives, he rides the bus and walks. Nut is driving all over the place (in the trailer at least)
It may be a fine movie, but to call it based on the books is rediculous. I was shocked when I heard Lee Child was ok with Moonbeam playing Reacher.
