i seen a video, or maybe it was on tv, with him a year or two ago talkin about wanting to be the first person to land with the wing suite without a parachute. i think they talked about him maybe trying to land in a net of some sort.

Yeah - his name is Jeb Corliss. When you look up the "official video" for AWOL Nation's "Sail" the top comments for the longest time said "I think the wing suit guy should be the official video for this song".
His stuff over that massive cave/hole in the ground is pretty cool - they did a whole movie about it with him and two of his buddies.
