What I want to know is why NOBODY sells little handheld battery operated radios anymore.

I bought one awhile back that has FM, AM, a flashlight built in, and USB ports for charging cell phones. If the battery's die, there is a crank handle generator that will supply power to charge the battery's or talk on the phone. Keep it in the storm shelter with a dozen fresh rechargable battery's.
