Tracer Ammo?

Does shooting tracer ammo shoot just like normal ammo or will it mess up your gun over time?

I have been playing with the XM856. It has about an 80-100 yard delay to them. They are way out of the barrel before they light up. So if your shooting them on a short range your not going to see them. better to shoot them out there a ways.

Roger that, was down at Ft. Wolters near Mineral Wells Tx a couple of months ago and set some fires with tracers.

Been my experience that tracers will leave some yellow paint in the locking lugs of an AR type. If you shoot a lot of them it get's pretty messy and hard to clean.
