I agree with Dennis, I think it should be legal for tracking wounded deer, but it's not.

it is legal to track wounded deer you just have to aquire permission from the game warden in that area we have been doing with cooparation from the game wardens in southeast ok for yrs.

So, Just because the cop says you can rob a bank, does that make it legal??? No. Law enforcement does exactly that, they don't make the law.

The original post was a question if dogs should be legal to find deer that have been wounded.

I agree that they should with restrictions.
Not every joe blow can take a dog into the field to track a wounded deer.
Blood trailing dogs must be on a leash, and the owner licensed by the state.
