Tranny shop suggestions?

Talked to blumenthals, they’ll rebuild my existing tranny, replace the cooler and torque converter for about $4800. 5-7 business day turn around.

That just sounds like an insane amount of money to me for one of the most common transmissions on the planet.

Call Custom Transmission on SE 59th. They'll diagnose it before they do an overhaul. They did a Ford Ranger for me for less than half of that other place and they do good work and are honest.

Autozone to get you some prices... around $2819 for rebuilt + core chrg exchange ( w/o cooler included )

Do not use AAMCO, had bad luck years ago.

I'd replace the cooler too if it was mine. Heat is the big killer of transmissions and I'd feel better with new.
