Shaun Bosse, 28, escaped Sunday morning from the McClain County jail and is considered armed and dangerous, officials said. He is charged with murder in the deaths last year of a Dibble woman and her children.
Shaun Michael Bosse, 28, overpowered a guard about 10 a.m. at the jail, took him hostage and locked him inside the cell, officials said. Bosse walked out of the jail unnoticed until the guard was able to alert co-workers about half an hour later.
Bosse stole a black 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix with a paper tag reading 06/08/11, authorities said. The car belongs to jail employee. It had about three-quarters of a tank of gas when it was stolen.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation reported he could be in the Blanchard area, where he previously lived. He lived in Oklahoma City at the time of his July 24 arrest in the deaths of Katrina Griffin, 25, her son Christian Griffin, 8, and daughter Chasity Hammer, 6.
The McClain County jail is in Purcell, about a 35-mile drive south of downtown Oklahoma City and about a 25-mile drive southeast of Blanchard.
Bosse was wearing black shorts with a white T-shirt when he was last seen, officials said. He is white, is about 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs about 215 pounds and has green eyes.
