Pelosi was holding out intending to hurt the unemployed and in October run a campaign ensuring that the citizens knew it was Trump's fault they didn't get benefits and vote for Democrats. Trump turned the table son her and now he can say that he enacted EO's that took care of the unemployed. He won and the democrats now have egg on their face. If the Dems sue and somehow win the voters are going to remember her and her rank and file. Either way they're going to remember who took care of them.
Gee that's what I said..I just gave the Reader's Digest version.

I bet you pay the taxes back at the end when you file taxes.
I used to claim 9 dependents to get as much money as I could on my paychecks but at the end of the year I only had 1 and I had to pay in every year.

BUT I made that extra money I made during the year work for me and make me more money..no biggie.

No kidding. Anybody who doesn't roll that extra money over into a savings account and hang onto it to have when they file their taxes next year is a fool. Between the extra added to unemployment and this there are gonna be some REALLY pissed off people in April next year if they don't listen to their tax preparer. I've heard a lot of preparers say their clients are telling them they will just worry about it next year when they file. I'm NOT looking forward to dealing with all the folks who are gonna lose their $4000 refunds. :disappoin:coffee2:

End payroll taxes permanently.
Better yet, stop automatic withholding. Make everyone write a check to the tax man on every payday so they can see exactly how deep into his pockets those hands go.

If all they're doing is stopping the collection of the payroll tax (and I don't see how an Executive Order can do anything else), one of two things will happen: either employers will keep that money in escrow, knowing that the bill will come due at the end of the year, or there will be one heck of a reckoning when that bill does come due.

If the payroll tax deduction goes into effect how would that come back to effect the taxpayers next April?
The stimulus checks won’t effect anyone either tax wise? It’s written into the stimulus that it’s not income.

This is hilarious .... Dems fight GOP in Congress because GOP doesn't want to extend the benefit, and instead funnel money to Pentagon and pork. Deal falls through. So Trumpy decides to (arguably outside the law not that he or the GOP care) provide the benefit by EO. The the action by the head of the party of "law and order" gets sued by the Dems because they didn't uphold "law and order" but likely the voters won't give a crap about all that BS because they'll all have a case of cognitive dissonance for the whole thing. Then the cherry on the cake will be that the payroll tax that won't be collected will come due AFTER the election.
