Its a lot of stuff for sure.. but as with all these shows its getting junkier and junkier due to the frequency. Only so much good stuff around before you only have trash left.

I have to disagree. Yes, there is a lot of junk at every show, but every now and then a real gem surfaces. I’ve been going to the flea market for years, and it happens often enough that the thrill of the hunt remains :)

where is the Exchange Center and Sage Net Center located at? Are they just different buildings at the fair grounds?

The Sage Net Center is just the current sponsored name of the Expo, the huge building that dominates the fairgrounds. The Exchange Center is the building just north of the Expo, pretty much straight across from the middle, and in front of the livestock barns and arenas.

For four years before 911,,,
When people stopped buying,,,
My father and I made a good living from that flea market.

Well, that and a few other markets as well.

We built driftwood furniture from wood we collected on the river,,,
I also made and peddled gun leather for BP revolvers.

I would buy a revolver from Cabela's,,,
Make two to three different rigs for the gun,,,
And eventually end up selling the revolver with a rig.

Like I said, we were doing real well with this endeavor.

But when 911 happened people quit spending money on luxuries,,,
That's when I decided I needed to go back to college.

All flea markets are unpredictable,,,
You just never can predict when/where a real bargain will show up.

Where they bust the sod in South Tulsa County.
Originally called the International Petroleum Exposition Center (and often called the IPE Building), it was funded by a $3.5 million bond issue in 1966, and upon completion became home to the International Petroleum Exposition. At the time, it was said to be the largest single building under one roof.
