The comments were interesting. I saw this on TV earlier. They said he chased the robber out of the house and shot him.
With the perpensitity of the news folks to get the wrong info, I'd have to hold judgement.

Apparently the article was updated. It initially said the intruder was shot while fleeing, then later changed to state he was shot in the home after aiming his shotgun at the homeowner.

Interesting, and yeah, it is sad that the "good" story is just a short byline.
