They said he was Palestinian. Deportations for people that are from countries at war, they normally keep them here in the US
Algerian citizen. Was born there

“When the agents were informed that Khalil, of Palestinian and Syrian[3] nationality and Algerian citizenship,[4] is a lawful permanent resident of the United States in possession of a green card, Khalil was informed this status would also be revoked”

no, he wasn't born in Algeria.

Mahmoud Khalil was born in Syria to Palestinian refugees. He later earned a degree in computer science from the Lebanese American University and worked in Lebanon before moving to the United States in 2022, where he obtained a green card and pursued a master's degree at Columbia University. Regarding his potential deportation destination, it remains unconfirmed as of now. Khalil holds Algerian citizenship, which makes Algeria a likely destination if he is deported. However, his Palestinian descent and Syrian birthplace could complicate matters, and no official statement has definitively specified the location. His legal team is currently challenging the deportation, and a federal judge has temporarily blocked it, so the outcome and destination are still pending judicial review.

You are correct, I just researched it again. I knew he has a Syrian & Algerian background. Parents were Palestinian. Could he claim to be a Palestinian? Don’t know, he wasn’t born there. Don’t think he ever lived there. So, Unsure if his Palestinian descent is an issue as he was born in Syria and has Algerian citizenship. So again, as in my first post, either of those 2 are ok with me for deportation.

I give zero licks about non-citizens protesting here. Send him somewhere……but hopefully this doesn’t spread to the suppression of free speech for citizens.
