Turkey poults are on the ground

Had this small group of poults and momma come through the yard today.



I've seen two other nests that have been robbed this spring.
Saw these guys two nights ago getting into our bird feeder. They have been hell on the humming bird and regular bird feeders. One got away.

Late hatch, I think. I saw some that size a couple months ago at work. I haven't seen very many though. Usually see several. Vegetation is a lot better than last few years. Hopefully that is hiding them better.

Yea I saw my first probably 6 weeks ago. I saw 3 different bunches just this past week come through my buddies yard. They looked half grown to me.

Looks like a late hatch to me. I've seen 3 different size poults this year.
