Here, but occasionally There.
If I knew there was a guarantee of the income tax going away I would take more sales tax or turnpikes and here is why , those are taxes I CAN avoid paying. avoid paying the income tax and men will at some point show up at your door with guns to arrest or kill you.

Same for property taxes ... you really don't own anything when you pay for your home you just become a long term renter to the county you live in. Don't pay em and you'll be homeless

There isn't an opt out for income taxes or property taxes and that is inherently evil

In all honesty, the income tax in Oklahoma going away would be a benefit for us, and property taxes going up wouldn't affect us too much because we live in an RV in an RV park. Granted, the park could likely increase our lot rent, but it would still be a lot less than what we pay annually in income tax to Oklahoma.

If you watched the meeting, they were very happy to say "The national average is 22 cents a mile! We're only going to be like 7 cents a mile after our raise!"

F the turnpike commission and the horse I'm going to have to ride if they keep playing "keeping up with the joneses" with Oklahoma's citizenry.
It's just like a few years ago when the state to decide that they needed to raise the college prices in Oklahoma in line with Yale to attract better students

Rush Springs ok.
Never use it. Will always use other rout to where I’m going. Would rather take a little longer to drive. They want us to pay to build new turnpikes so they can charge us to use them. Oh and when they’re paid off, they still charge us to use them and the maintenance isn’t any better than any other road.

Unfortunately, the necessary/unnecessary questions will continue well into the future.

How many remember that in the beginning, the plan was for the toll roads were to be pay for a while, and then to be free? It has gotten out of control. I know it would be impossible to accomplish, but I wonder if the TOLL ROAD “TOADS” would reconsider their greediness if ALL DRIVERS would boycott/abandon our illustrious toll roads. I wonder if the loss of revenue for a month or two of empty toll roads would cause them to reconsider other choices.
Just a thought, because it is only getting worse.

We already pay for gas/road taxes.
So, toll-roads are:
"Taxation without representation" for those that don't use it...
Or "double taxation" for those that do use it.

How about all Oklahomans get to use Oklahoma toll roads for free?
Charge toll on all the out-of-state travelers.

Screw it all. ODOT and OTA are back-door buddies. Read that how you will.

Colleges in Oklahoma are retarded. Housing rules you need a slide rule to figure out and tuition of 21,000 a semester for basic classes, no meal plan, and living off campus. That's another area that needs reform.
