One of my absolute least favorite jobs as a pre-teen/teen was helping my uncle haul hay. Could be I am allergic to everything on the planet other than water and steel played a part in it. Still I would do about anything before touching a square bale. I would open all the gates in the county to not touch a bale of hay.
No sir. Just offering the chance for folks to haul it to the barn. We baled 1200 today and the Dutchmen had it hauled of the field and stacked in the barn in no more than 2hrs.
That brings back nightmares. We had millot hay one year, was like hauling fiberglass.
Our wrestling coach in high school had the team haul square bales for him as “off season training”.
He did supply free water though.

I remember standing upon 4 tiers of hay bales on the 2 1/2 ton. I heard "UUUUUAAHHH" From a drunk coworker name of Garrett Medicine Bear.
The next thing I saw was the bale headed over my head barely clipping the bales on the other side landing on the ground on the opposite side of the truck.
