I never really cared for the S&W autos, but this M&P is sweet. Traded for it yesterday and ran 200 rounds through it today. Soft shooter, very short reset (olyeller's work), and I'm just damn accurate with it. It's really growing on me. I might have to get a compact. I do love the FDE M&P frames here. I was thinking about...but it might look funny (or awesome) with the Tungsten gray, who knows.
Who polished the barrel? The plunger safety doesnt shorten the reset; it just smooths the trigger up. The sear was left untouched. Its about 25-30% of a trigger job. nice pics!
Good to know. I may make you finish it up at some point. No clue on the barrel (it's just the barrel hood). It wasn't me or you, so it was a previous owner.
Damn that's a nice looking gun!! It's an absolute shame that I just couldn't love it. I've finally come to the conclusion that I really should never, ever buy another pistol that doesn't have a Glock logo on it. I've learned my lesson. It's a damned fine firearm though. BTW...I polished the barrel. I thought it would look great with a tri-color theme; and in my opinion...I was correct!! Agree??
ZTN, when I saw that M&P I wanted it bad... thought it would look great along side this one! I was saving fmy cash for another purchase which came through tonight!!! I was lucky enough to pick up an SVI 2011 with all the gear. Mike did his magic on this M&P too and I don't mind saying that it's a pretty awesome little gun. Trigger job, 10-8 / dawson sights, and CeraCote...
Negative on both counts. I will be shooting the OKCGC USPSA event Saturday morning. My current problem is which gun do I want to run??? If I were being smart I'd stick with the M&P for now, but that SVI is awesome...
Got this back from Mike just shy of two weeks ago. Shot it yesterday at the Duncan USPSA match and won my division (production) for the first time. New sights, stippling, competition trigger. It's a totally different weapon. Novak front, Warren rear.
