Agreed, since SCOTUS' opinion that police officers have no duty to protect.
They have no duty to protect any specific individual. The case was about police not responding to a particular individual who at the time of the calls wasn’t in danger.
The police were busy responding to other calls when the individual was attacked and killed.
The police do have a duty to protect the public.
The children and teachers under attack were indeed the public.
The one officer was actually on scene, and refused to act.
They will hopefully get convicted of accessory to murder.
