Why would my 2023 motorcycle that is worth 5-6000 cost more to register than a 2015 car worth more than twice as much? They were both purchased in 2023.

It may be 10 years old.

Heck I just got the registration for my airplane (Cherokee 140) and it more than doubled. Went from $10 a year to $23 a year!

You have to, I have had this plane for about 20 years and the state gets notified when you first register with the FAA. It's always been $10 a year but this year it more than doubled. It's based off weight of airplane.
