I am wanting some advice or your experience with the VA about getting benefits. I am sorta at a crossroads here and want some help from people who have been there. I don't care to share it publicly on here, please pm me. I'm working odd hours right now so bear with me, I will return your pm has soon has I can. Thanks!

I contacted my local VA office a few years back on a disability issue. Everyone I came into contact with was friendly and helpful. Fast they're not, but it all worked out.

I have experience with VA benefits. If you need anything feel free to PM me. Would be more than happy to help.

Same here, I just haven't filed for any disability. I plan to keep myself off their lists, they've already talked about banning vet's 2nd amendment rights over PTSD. So to me, I'm gonna leave the VA alone.

I also have experience with the VA disability system. Most important thing is to get an advocate like the DAV or VFW to help navigate you through the system. Goldsby VFW over by Oklahoma City is said to be the absolute best place to help you apply for VA disability benefits http://www.veteranscorner.org/. They can help you navigate the VA system. These advocates do not require you to pay them anything or to be a member.

Only if you are 100% and have been declared by the VA to be mentally incompetent to handle your affairs and a danger to others. You can still be 10 to 100% and own guns if you are competent and not a danger to others and can handle your own affairs.

But who knows what the future holds.

I fought the fight and am at 100% now.. I had the Group out of Goldsby OK as my advocates. They are superb. I don't know who is good on your corner of the state, but it would certainly be worth it to make the trip to Goldsby on a thursday to meet with them. I'll pm you for som more info.. Blitzfike
