Well done by that gent for sure, but the only thing that bothered me about the report? The comment of the reporter at the end stating that the police said that a gun owner needs to be ready to accept responsibility for the outcome should the issue escalate.
To me, that reads as "you got lucky, but if you had to shoot the guy, you'd be liable for manslaughter, since you injected yourself into the situation." i.e. you put yourself in harms way, thus it isn't self defense.
Perhaps that's the cornerstone of our social issues: "No good deed goes unpunished."

....The problem still is , Its about control, its not about guns ,..and the Good they Can do.
But indeed we should look for and collect these types of outcomes, to report, just like the Lady who spoke to Congress when her parents were killed in the Lubby's incident. (she couldnt carry her gun in Luby's)
