Was anybody else in band at Claremore HS?

This morning i learned my highschool band teacher Mr Wayne Brown passed away friday. I dont know if anybody else went there but if you didnt know just thought i'd pass the news along. He will be missed by many many people and he had an impact on so many lives. RIP Mr. Brown

Yes - graduated in 87 and Mr Brown was responsible for getting me in to college - for playing GUITAR!!! He was truly a blessing and really cared about his kids. Man, what a loss...

services will be held at St cecelias church in claremore wednesday at 11am.

When I went to school there the band director was Mr. Girard. So that was long time ago. I didn't know Mr. Brown but saw his orbit in the paper today.

Hmmmm. Dylan Layton? TU in fall 87? or Jerry? Must be Dylan looking at the Avatar. Jerry was bass.

My wife was one of his students, grad 85. She went to funeral. I met the guy once. Decent fellow and he impacted a lot of lives.
