I don't know if anyone listens to Jack Spiriko's podcast, but a former Chrysler chemical engineer and frequent guest (Stephen Harris) suggests the food grade barrels for fuel storage also. Gas weighing less than water, they say the 15 gal in particular are easy to handle, haven't tried it myself yet.

I do listen to Jack. That's where the 15 gallon idea came from. It does work, by the way. At least it has for me.

I haven't stared it yet but I like the cleaned and filled 3 liter Sosa bottles. Will store lots of water and the bottles stack nicely on their sides.
