Okay, so I was wondering if anyone had any good wedding anniversary ideas? It will be our 5th in July and I would like to possibly take a trip somewhere, but I don't want to break the bank. I thought Vegas, but honestly my wife and I don't drink and aren't really big into gambling. Could be a fun trip regardless. I thought about a quick trip to the Mexican Peninsula, but haven't priced it yet. No cruises, I've been and wasn't too impressed, my wife easily gets motion sickness, and there is no chance after the last cruise issue to hit the wire. I thought about Colorado or New Mexico, but with no more than about 4 or 5 days at most, I'm not sure it would be worth the drive and cost.

So, any ideas?

Here, but occasionally There.
Well, it would help if we had an idea of what you and the lovely lady like instead of what you don't like.

Photography, hiking, seeing historical sights, music or shows?

As for me, I'd say Colorado, but I've just got this thing for the Colorado mountains.

Buddy of mine and his girlfriend recently made a trip to New Mexico to ski and stuff. They had a blast and it wasn't too expensive from what I heard. Drove out, hit a couple ski resorts for a few days and drove back. Seemed like a nice getaway.

We like the mountains, outdoors, beaches, good food, people watching, I think I am leaning towards the mountains at this point.

We celebrated our 5th last July. She was great with child and didn't want to fly anywhere, so we took the motorhome to Estes Park, CO. Great little town, right at the entrance to Rocky Mountain National park; elk everywhere, lots to do, lots of wild game dishes around town.

Very cool, that's what I've been thinking was Estes Park. That's an awesome picture!

Ouray, Colorado. it's the most beautiful place on the face of the planet. Deer walking through town, plenty of trails, Jeep rentals, etc. Bridal veil falls is not to be missed. We stayed at a KOA in a tent, and woke up to find a couple does eating acorns about 10 feet away. I'll post some pics in a bit

Go to Durango and ride the train to Silverton. Then go to Chama, New Mexico and ride the train to Antonita, Co. Lots of beautiful scenery in those areas and if you have a pickup or jeep there are all kinds mountain trails to take. One of our favorite areas.
