A bureaucratic edict issued earlier this year says that (effective 2028, I think) all new cars sold in the US - I believe this affects all vehicles (sedans, SUVs, pickups, including all of the electric vehicles) - will have a computerized "dead-man's switch," so-to-speak. Installed by the manufacturer, and accessible by law enforcement and government agencies. Does the term "Big Brother" come readily to mind?

When a liberal governmental bureaucracy and its law enforcement arms have practical and absolute control - regardless of legality - over CITIZENS' vehicles... "they" (for just one example, any liberal bureaucrat) can readily and anonymously decide exactly who will/won't be allowed the privilege of driving, and whose vehicles will be confiscated. Based on voter registration, or any other 'convenient' factor/element. The framework (to create that specific capability) is being constructed right now, and it already has bureaucratic approval.

Considering the Democrat Party's constant, proven historical record of precisely such illegal actions ever since the Civil War... what sane individual believes that - just this one time - Democrats might somehow (magically, perhaps?) decide to NOT abuse the citizenry? It has nothing to do with saving the planet - or even "for the children."

It is to hobble We the People, to eventually put and keep us on foot, and subjugated for them to save their power and position.

They want to - or rather are trying to - prevent any form of revolution, insurrection, or civil war - all of which, if they continue on their current path, are making necessary for we the people to engage in if we wish to preserve our freedom, prosperity, and individual sovereignty. No other scenario fits all their machinations. We need people in power that understand freedom and will govern in a manner that will not make revolution, insurrection, or a civil war necessary.

It is easy to learn this from history. If you wish to remain free, study history and heed its lessons.

Automobiles foster freedom to travel. Electric vehicles are too easy to immobilize at the flip of a switch. I'm glad Ford is refusing to sell that crap, and Buick dealerships are thumbing their noses to the pressure they are under to sell them as well. For them it may be a financial issue, but the consequence is in favor of shutting down the despotism and apparent desperation of wannabe tyrants, dictators, and slave masters.
