Tragic. Not taking sides or rushing to judgement without some backstory. Why the suspect did not drop weapon leaves door open for perp to carjack or take hostage, etc as they approached apparently parked vehicle(s) with passengers??? This might cause a potential threat to bystanders not only from perp's gun but also from LE as he approached the bystanders?
The one filming looked kinda in a bad spot as officer's guns seemed pointed in the camera's direction at one point???

It appears the individual raised his right arm (gun carrying hand) up to elbow level pointing his hand and gun at nearby officers. Officers out of fear for their safety, plus the safety of numerous citizens in the area, shot to stop the threat.
