That sounds pretty much like Hogue. Available at H&H, OA, Savage, most any gunshop...

I found one I really liked on line but they only make them for full size 1911. Im afraid I will run into this problem locally too.

Put a title grip tape on the frontstrap and call it good, those Hogues suck for being able to manipulate the pistol.

I have to agree with Olyeller, just a piece of grip tape on the front strap is a much better option.

But, if you're just wanting the finger grips on the front strap, Pearce makes a finger grip that fits under the stocks. So you end up with the grips of your choice with front finger grooves. They do make them in both full & officer size.

I use VZ Gatorbacks on my Officer size 1911 with a piece of grip tape on the front strap & a Flat Checkered MS Housing. Great grip/control.
