Trying to load up some shotgun ammo with my MEC 600jr .but am throwing lite by 1-2 gr from the bushing chart Bluedot,Greendot ,Hero,and 2 batches of Red dot( one old cardboard pop top ,and one new plastic bottle ) so what is the deal ?
Not to worry. No deal. I have loaded hundreds of the same components you mentioned with a 600 jr. The slight difference in the loads that you are throwing will make no difference whatsoever.
Volume Measured Density can change from batch to batch on powders.
Even made the same year.
Using volume density that was written decades ago will surely be different than what you get off the shelf today.
None of my volume charts match the powder exactly when I weigh it.

Thanks, it was just needing to step up 2 bushings to get the target weight. The reddot may have been different by several years but still was 1.5 to 2grs off from the chart . When I started on base at Shaw AFB in 85 I just went with the setup the rod & gun club manager told me to use - 1 1/8 of 7.5 and #34 bushing of reddit, it was soft and went bang ,broke clays all day long.
