I shot my first hog with a 300 winmag. After I seen that there was no challenge with a scope, I started using a Marlin guide gun in 45/70.
I shot the last few with a Taurus Raging Bull in 454. The pistol was by far the most fun.

I've killed hogs with everything from a 22 lr to a 9.3x74r, and if you hit them good, they all end up dead. My last few were killed with my 12 ga over 308 combo gun, and the 308 and buckshot achieved the same results. Dead pigs.

That's a Blaser BBF97 12 ga over 308, and I ordered it with the short 20" barrel option. For east Texas piney woods, it's an extremely handy little weapon.
