What handgun do you carry in the field?

If I carry a rimfire rifle or a shotgun I carry a large caliber revolver (.44 Special Ruger Vaquero Sheriff's Model) and if I carry a centerfire rifle I carry a small caliber handgun - Ruger Single-Six .32 H&R mag, S&W M&P in .32-20, or S&W .32 Hand Ejector in .32 S&W Long. If I carry concealed it will be the .32 Long or a Charter Arms Undercover .38 Special.

The two that get the most walks in the woods are my S&W 617 or SW 631. Used to carry my Tackleberry when deer hunting. Something else occassionally.

I don't want the animals to see me packing. For reels though, I dont have money falling out my ears so my CCW pieces see lots of carry all the time no matter what the situation is really. Would like to have a full size 1911 in .45 ACP though, one day.

Ive always got my cm9 tucked in under my belt.

I carry a RR 22mag, 44sbh, or a Smith m66 in the woods just depends on what I'm after. But mostly I have been carrying a 357 snub cause the others are to big and heavy.
