If I were to wander out into the wild where hogs were a possibility I would choose my New Vaquero Bisley 5.5" loaded with Buffalo Bore standard pressure heavy .45LC 255grain gas checked soft cast bullets (they are called soft cast but Buffalo Bore assured me they are actually between soft and hard and will easily penetrate "hard" targets).

Second choice is my 3" Ruger GP100 but it's short barrel isn't ideal.

Or my Glock 21 .45acp
