The assimilation begins the moment they enter the beltway if not earlier. Unless there is an outcry from the folks back home about a particular issue, they conform. I did not hear an outcry this time. Perhaps we were too worried about this little issue called terrorism.

I think at this point it doesn't matter who gets elected we are finished. Our senate and congress is so corrupt that no president will be able to do anything to make this country better. However Hillary could make it worse. With the anti American government we have now they will do whatever she and they want. It is a sad time to be an American. I feel sorry for our children. Who knows what the country will be like in 10-20 years. Heck, it may not make it another 5. Apparently the majority of Americans are happy with the way things are going because no one cares enough to do anything about it. There is a small minority that does. And some of that minority is on here. I have never had this kind of feeling before. It sucks.

Mullin believes it will be good for Oklahoma..

Hi--

This week, we were stuck with five days before Christmas to act to keep the government open.

When the funding bill was made public on Wednesday, my team and I spent the entire day reading the House-Senate agreement line-by-line.

You can take a look at the list of my top pros below. But I want to talk about the most important win first: The bill repeals the 40-year-old ban on exporting U.S. crude oil.

Oklahoma is in a tough spot. Our revenue is down by 12 percent and we face a $900.8 million shortfall going into 2016.

Lifting the outdated export ban on U.S. crude oil will help our state get out of this dire situation. Here's how:

Lifting the ban creates 1M jobs across nearly all 50 states, including Oklahoma.
Lifting the ban will increase Oklahoma's revenue.
Lifting the ban creates six new downstream jobs for every 10 new energy jobs.
Lifting the ban maintains the low gas prices we're seeing at the pumps.
I have been fighting for this all year because it gives jobs back to Oklahomans, keeps gas prices low, and makes sure our country is not held hostage by dangerous enemies who use energy as a political weapon.

With this bill behind us, 2016 marks a turning point. The last budget under Barack Obama is done. We have an opportunity to move beyond this administration's heavy hand and bring Oklahoma's values back to our federal government.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be your voice in Congress.

Have a blessed weekend and a Merry Christmas.

Markwayne Mullin
Member of Congress

Pros

Lifts the 40-year-old ban on exporting U.S. crude oil.
Protects our families from terrorist attacks by closing national security gaps in our international visa waiver travel program.
Upholds our pro-life values by making sure no federal funds will be used to perform abortions and maintains other protections for human life.
Stops the Obama-backed proposed arms treaty with the United Nations.
Blocks the president from closing Guantanamo Bay.
Keeps the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from forcing greenhouse gas rules on livestock producers.
Holds the EPA to its lowest level of funding since 2008 and lowest staffing levels since 1989.
Stops Obamacare's taxpayer bailout of insurance companies.
Upholds our religious beliefs by ending the Internal Revenue Service's (IRS) harassment and targeting of non-profit groups.

So what are you going to do vote democrat or just not vote? Either is throwing the baby out with the bath water.

That's a good question and I'm sure all the politician's on both sides of the isle laugh about that one since the end result, in most cases, is the same. Our Forefathers of this great Nation they built warned us what would happen if the voting booth doesn't work anymore.......Interesting times we live in.....

They run their first political race thinking they are going to Washington to make a difference and be a voice for the people that elected them.
When they get there they quickly find out they are puppets of the beltway establishment, and can do nothing without their approval.

Well, they can, but the pork funds they can send to those that elect them will dry up, and they won't be back the next term, and they know it.

So then, they are no longer representatives of the people. They represent the establishment at that point.

How we correct this, I don't know, but I do know what the problem is.

Fire em all? Nothing will change. The next leader of the congress will nothing different.
